At 23:35 on April 18, 2026, the Hotan Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for sandstorms: it is expected that in the next 24 hours, sandstorms or floating dust will occur in the urban area of Hotan City, as well as in Gujiang Bage Township, Tusala Town, Xiaoerbag Township, Iriqi Township, Laskui Town, Jiya Township, Yulong Kashgar Town, and Akchale Township. The minimum visibility will be reduced to below 1000 meters, with gusts of 4-5 levels. The wind speed in the northern desert and windward areas can reach 6-7 levels. Please pay attention to prevention.
