...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT SUNDAY FROM 11 AM UNTIL 8PM MDT FOR
THE NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS AND NORTHEAST PLAINS DUE TO STRONG WINDS
AND LOW HUMIDITY...

.South to southwest winds will strengthen Sunday across the
northeastern corner of New Mexico, where gusts of 35 to 45 mph are
expected late morning through the early evening. Up to 9 hours of
critical fire weather conditions may occur in the far northeastern
corner of the state where afternoon humidity will drop down to
around 10 percent. Any new fire starts will be able to spread
rapidly.

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM MDT Sunday.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Plains (Zone 104) and Northeast
Highlands (Zone 123) Sunday from 11 AM until 8 PM MDT.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...South to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts
up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values 10 to 13 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended
