Artux Meteorological Observatory updates orange blizzard warning [Level II/Severe]

At 19:01 on April 19, 2026, the Artux City Meteorological Observatory upgraded the Blizzard Yellow to Blizzard Orange warning signal: As of now, the Tianmen Scenic Area Station in ShangArtux Town, Artux City has received 11.9 millimeters of snowfall in the past 6 hours. It is expected that the snowfall in the above-mentioned areas will continue from this evening to night. Attention should be paid to preventing the adverse effects of blizzards on transportation, agriculture and animal husbandry.

Recommendations

1. The government and relevant departments shall carry out emergency work in accordance with their responsibilities to prevent snow disasters and freeze damage; 2. Transportation, railway, power, communication and other departments should strengthen the inspection and maintenance of roads, railways, and lines, and do a good job in road cleaning and snow melting; 3. Reduce unnecessary outdoor activities; 4. Reinforce temporary structures such as sheds that are prone to snow pressure, and drive outdoor livestock into sheds for feeding.
