Flood alert: Groundwater flooding in the Alton area

Groundwater levels are high but continuing to decline at our Farringdon borehole near Alton. Flooding of low-lying areas and roads continues to be possible. Due to the nature of groundwater flooding, this situation could continue for several weeks or longer. We are closely monitoring rainfall and groundwater levels. Residents are advised to ensure property resilience measures are prepared and check that pumps are working where they have been installed. Take particular care when driving through flood water both for your own safety and to prevent flooding to others.
