At 20:33 on April 20, 2026, Pingyang County Meteorological Observatory issued an orange warning signal for heavy fog: Currently, there is a heavy fog weather with visibility below 500 meters in Nanji Town, our county. It is expected that there will be a strong heavy fog weather with visibility below 200 meters on the coastal waters of our county (Nanji Town and Haixi Town) from tonight to tomorrow. Please pay attention to preventing the adverse effects of low visibility weather on maritime shipping and transportation.

Recommendations

1. The government and relevant departments should do a good job in anti fog work; 2. Strengthen dispatch and command of airports, railways, highways, ferry terminals and other units; 3. Drivers must strictly control the speed of the vehicle or ship; 4. Reduce outdoor activities.
