The National Weather Service in OXNARD has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
The waters off the Central Coast from Point Piedras Blancas to
Point Arguello and out to 60 NM.

* Until 345 PM PDT.

* At 210 PM PDT, a line of thunderstorms were located along a line
from San Simeon extending southwest to 60 nm west of Point Sal
iedras Blancas to 60 nm west of Point Sal, moving east at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
San Simeon and Cambria.

Recommendations

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects. Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high
waves are expected.
