...RED FLAG WARNING THROUGH 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING EAST OF THE
CENTRAL MOUNTAIN CHAIN DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY...

...RED FLAG WARNING ON SUNDAY FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM MDT IN ZONES
ALONG AND EAST OF I-25, AND ALSO OVER WEST CENTRAL ZONES, DUE TO
STRONG WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY...

.With multiple fires ongoing across eastern New Mexico today,
southwest winds will gust up to 35 mph today while humidity
plummets between 10 and 15 percent. On Sunday, southwest and
westerly wind gusts will peak from 50 to around 60 mph over a
larger portion of the area with continued very low humidity.
Areas of extremely critical conditions will likely develop across
eastern New Mexico Sunday afternoon due to much stronger winds
and continued drying of fuels. In addition, lightning activity
across northern New mexico on Sunday will occur with little
wetting precipitation, increasing the chances for new fire
ignitions.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast and East Central Plains (Zones 104
and 126), and Northeast and Central Highlands (Zones 123 and
125) today and Sunday from noon to 8 PM MDT.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...For today, southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with
gusts up to 35 mph, except up to 40 mph from Clines Corners to
Las Vegas. On Sunday, southwest winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts
from 50 to 60 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values 8 to 13 percent today, then
10 to 15 percent Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
