The Chongyi County Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow lightning warning signal at 20:33 on April 28, 2026: It is expected that there will be lightning activity in some areas of all towns and villages in our county in the next 6 hours, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall and other severe convective weather. The public is advised to avoid thunderstorms when traveling, and outdoor areas should not be sheltered from trees and metal objects. Indoor areas should stay away from metal doors, windows, and live equipment.

Recommendations

1. The government and relevant departments shall carry out lightning protection work in accordance with their responsibilities; 2. Pay close attention to the weather and try to avoid outdoor activities as much as possible.
