- The Yukon River broke up locally at Eagle on Tuesday morning
and Dawson on Tuesday afternoon. Currently the breakup front
is located somewhere downstream of the Tatonduk River.

An ice jam is reported between Dawson and the Fortymile
River. Fluctuating water levels and heavy ice runs can be
expected downstream when this jam releases.

Residents along the Yukon River downstream of Dawson should
expect ice runs to move through for the next 24 hours as the
breakup front from Dawson moves downstream. Ice jams remain
possible where the break up front encounters areas with in-
place ice downstream of the Tatonduk River.
