At 444 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from 10 nm east of Blackwater Bay
Bridge to 21 nm south of Oriskany Reef, moving northeast at 15 knots.
HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
Locations impacted include...
West Choctawhatchee Bay, Fort Walton Beach, Navarre Beach, Okaloosa
Deep Water Reef, Oriskany Reef, Shalimar, Fort Walton Liberty Ship
Reef, Destin, East Pass At Destin, and Okaloosa Pier.
