Подробнее

A multi day storm surge event will continue in Herschel Island.

Minor flooding is expected Friday evening, with the highest water levels approaching 20 cm above highest astronomical tide.

Moderate flooding will then occur Saturday morning, with the highest water levels expected to reach 30 to 40 cm above highest astronomical tide. These conditions will cause damage to infrastructure near the coast, including boats beached or anchored along the shoreline.

From Saturday afternoon until early next week moderate flooding will recur at every high tide, with the highest water levels expected to reach 25 to 35 cm above highest astronomical tide in the mornings and afternoons.

This warning is issued when high water levels pose a threat to coastal regions due to tides, storm surge and/or waves.
