The National Weather Service in Charleston has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
East Central Braxton County in north central West Virginia...
* Until 930 PM EDT.
* At 627 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported numerous locations
that were flooded across east-central Braxton County due to
torrential rainfall from thunderstorms. Between 3.5 and 6.5 inches
of rain have fallen. Significant flash flooding is ongoing!
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported numerous locations that were
flooded in east-central Braxton County.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
