...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in West
Virginia...
West Fork River above Clarksburg affecting Harrison County.
For the West Fork River...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...West Fork River above Clarksburg.
* WHEN...Until this evening.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, water begins to enter some homes along the
low sections near the river. Liberty Avenue floods. At 15.0 feet,
homes along the low sections of the river on Liberty Avenue and
Route 19 flood. At 16.0 feet, areas of Baltimore Street and River
Road flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 5:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 15.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.6 feet
later this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late this
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.6
feet on 12/14/2007.
