High tides overnight may lead to flooding.
Although the midday tide today Friday 11 September, is expected to peak just below the Flood Alert threshold, the following tide is forecast to exceed this.
Flooding is possible from 10:30 PM tonight Friday 11 September to 02:30 AM on Saturday 12 September, peaking at 00:30 AM.
Areas most at risk lie within the Sandside area of North Morecambe Bay. Locations most affected will be coastal roads and footpaths.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Avoid beaches and coastal promenades, which may be flooded . Do not drive through flood water or put yourself or others at risk.
