Flood alert: River Alt, Formby to Huyton

River levels are still relatively high following the rainfall from Storm Boelo. Flooding is possible from the evening of Saturday 24th October and into the early hours of Sunday 25th October. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near to the river Alt and other watercourses from Huyton to Hightown including, Kirkby, Fazakerley, Maghull, Formby, Aughton, Sefton and Lunt. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and we will continue to monitor throughout the day. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 4:00 PM on Sunday 25 October or as the situation changes.
