...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

White River at Elliston...and at Edwardsport down to Hazleton.

.Heavy rainfall through the first half of the week of generally one
and a half to two and a half inches has produced minor flooding on
the White River at Ellison and along Knox County. Flooding to end at
Elliston Saturday morning...while current late week rainfall of up
to one inch will prolong minor flooding along Knox County points
through at least Monday.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Hazleton.

* WHEN...Until Saturday, May 16.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Most of the low bottomlands flood.
Flooding begins in higher bottomlands. High water affects any
residents in Pottsville river cabins. Pottsville Road...North C
Street on river side of railroad tracks and Catt Street near U.S.
Highway 41 are flooded. Water is near or starting on Giro Road in
the vicinity of submerged Pottsville Road. Oil stripped fields
flood. Flood gates must be installed at Hazleton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- There is no current observed data.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.7
feet Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
Saturday, May 16.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Recommendations

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
