...RED FLAG WARNING FOR GUSTY WINDS, DRY FUELS, AND LOW HUMIDITY
TODAY...

* AFFECTED AREA...Rabun and Habersham.

* TIMING...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 5 to 16 mph with gusts up to 21 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 25 percent.

* FUEL MOISTURE...5 to 9 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Recommendations

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of gusty
winds, low relative humidity, warm temperatures, and dry fuels
can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
