Details

At 303 PM EDT, dam operators reported high flows are being released
through Tippy Dam.

HAZARD...Flash flooding downstream of Tippy Dam.

SOURCE...Dam operator.

IMPACT...Flooding of areas along the river immediately downstream
of the dam.

The nearest downstream town is High Bridge Campground...located
about 3.5 miles from the dam. Areas downstream from the Tippy Dam
along the Manistee River should be prepared for flooding.

Recent snowmelt and heavy rainfall has lead to flooding along the
Manistee River.

Recommendations

If you are in low lying areas below the Tippy Dam you should move to
higher ground. Follow evacuation instructions provided by your local
emergency officials. Do not attempt to drive across flooded roadways.
