* WHAT...For the Gale Warning, seas 7 to 11 ft at 10 seconds and
southwest winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt expected. For
the Small Craft Advisory, rough bar conditions expected.

* WHERE...In the Main Channel of the Columbia River Bar.

* WHEN...Gale Warning, until 8 PM PDT this evening. Small Craft
Advisory, from 8 PM this evening to 5 AM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Ebb current of 4.37 kt at 322 PM Tuesday.
Seas 9 to 10 ft. Ebb current of 5.04 kt at 350 AM Wednesday.
Seas 7 ft.

Recommendations

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
