Flood alert: South Devon coast from Start Point to Dawlish Warren

High tides today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible 3 hours either side of high tide on the evening of Wednesday 22nd.
Areas particularly at risk include Torbay, Teignmouth, Beesands, Torcross, Slapton and Dawlish.
The high tide at Teignmouth on Wednesday is at 23:00, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 1.72mAOD, which is 0.15 metres above tide table level. Strong South Easterly winds and offshore wave heights up to 1.7m are forecast over the high tide.
Coastal conditions should ease for Thursday morning high tide.
