Details

At 327 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Horseshoe Lake
Conservation Area, or 10 miles east of Benton, moving east at 35
mph. Another storm was located further west near Benton.

HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Benton, Morley, Kelso, Olive Branch, Horseshoe Lake Conservation
Area, Blodgett, Commerce, and Lambert.

This includes Interstate 55 between Mile Markers 76 and 88.

Recommendations

This is a dangerous storm. Prepare immediately for large destructive
hail capable of producing significant damage. People outside should
move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from windows.
